Position Summary
Join our Bioprocess department as a Bioprocess Intern! This role offers a unique opportunity to dive into hands-on experience in the biotech industry. You will support the fermentation, downstream processing (DSP), and bioprocess operations teams in setting up, executing, and monitoring experiments. If you’re passionate about biotech and want to be part of impactful work, this is a great place to start.
Responsibilities
- Assist in experimental setup, execution, and data collection under the guidance of experienced scientists and engineers.
- Perform basic lab procedures and sample preparation.
- Monitor and record data on various experimental processes.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and learning from department experts.
- Maintain and ensure lab areas and equipment are clean, organized, and stocked.
- Assist with data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a community college, and interested in biotechnology, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Enthusiastic about gaining practical experience in the biotech industry.
- Detail-oriented and dependable, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
- Able to follow safety protocols and work responsibly in a lab setting.
- Interest in learning about bioprocess data analysis and reporting.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, Google Suite, and familiarity with Zoom, Visio, and Slack preferred.
- Excellent time management skills, effective with multitasking, and an adept ability to improvise work plans while maintaining efficiency.
- Ability to safely move up to 15 lbs between locations.

- Competitive salary range of $22 to $23 per hour depending on experience.
